How to choose a PEO or Employer of Record in Malaysia (2026)

An Employer of Record (EOR) legally employs staff for you in Malaysia and handles payroll, statutory contributions and contracts, which is useful if you have no local entity. Fees are usually a monthly fee per employee or a percentage of payroll. Check that the provider has a Malaysian entity, registers employees with EPF, SOCSO, EIS and LHDN for PCB, and is clear about who carries employment liability.
